Intellectual Property and Patent Prior Art Research
We understand the importance of searching for prior art in intellectual
property litigation, infringement cases, and re-examinations.
Patent data is widely available in electronic format from free and
fee-based services. Search capability, currency, and error rates vary
from service to service. The supporting documents listed in the prior
art section may demonstrate that the technology in question is seminal
or reveal the status of a patent family, filings in foreign countries,
and the quality of the patent. The citation format for prior art varies
in quality and is often cryptic at best.
Through our access to extensive databases and our search techniques we
deliver documents reported not only in patents worldwide, but
dissertations, journal articles, conference papers, meeting reports,
trade press sources, and archived Web pages.
A/I resolves all copyright issues for our clients.
Sample Project
We gathered prior art patents and secondary sources for a large patent
litigation case. We created a database for cross-referencing the
1,000-plus documents that were referenced in the cited patents and
identified duplicate documents. |
