We make public records public.
Not all public records are available via the Web and the records that
are available are not always easy to find. We research and deliver:
- Court documents
- Archived documents
- Specialized administrative records and proceedings
- Property records
- Government agency subject reports
- Committee meeting agendas and minutes
- Any publicly-available record
Access/Information respects and complies with federal and state privacy
laws. We will not attempt to retrieve records protected by these
statutes and regulations.
Additionally we are well-versed in legislative history research and
compilation and in the research procedures of the National Archives and
Records Administration.
Legislative History Compilation
In complicated legal matters, it is often necessary to determine the
intent behind the language of a particular statute. We will track down
the various legislative components of a particular state or federal law
including committee hearings, committee prints, house and senate floor
debates, and previous versions of a bill. We will also go to the
Colorado State Archives on your behalf to listen to and tape audio
recordings of committee hearings and legislative floor debates.
National Archives and Records Research and Retrieval
Access/Information is listed on the National Archives and Records
Administration online directory of researchers specializing in records
held at NARA’s Denver facility. We comply with all established research
room procedures. We specialize in research services for the legal and
business communities, including document retrieval related to U.S.
District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals archived records and other
federal agency/department public records.
Sample Project
We researched the complete history of the Railroad
Safety Act to help determine the reasoning behind the tread size of
railway steps. |

A/I assisted me in a national survey of municipal cable overbuilds. In some cases, the A/I staff had to contact municipal agencies repeatedly to get the information I needed. They really stayed on the case over a several month period, until I had the data I needed. Without their persistence, I would not have been able to complete the project.”
